Counselling and Psychotherapy in South West London
My name is Tony Novissimo and I am a qualified psychotherapist and Counsellor and an Accredited member of the BACP. I have been a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist in the South West London area for the past sixteen years and I am committed to help my clients aim for their highest potential.
I work to provide effective counselling and psychotherapy with safety and confidentiality. It is likely in our conversations you will explore ideas you have never given voice to before. It is surprising the ideas that rule us . Maybe you no longer need to be ruled by such ideas.
Where will we meet
We can meet in my Therapy Rooms at
London Therapy Foundation ,40 Lambert Avenue , Richmond ,TW9 4QR
I usually offer one session per week for an agreed number of sessions or until such time that the concerns you have are resolved.
We will work towards enabling you to live your life more happily and more fully
My Approach and Philosophy
My personal Approach as a counsellor and psychotherapist is to use psychodynamic, Integrative and transpersonal (Spiritual) techniques. I use Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) whenever it is appropriate.
For the last 45 years I have been on a journey of self discovery , studying practical philosophy and seeking answers within. Regular meditation has had its rewards and brought great peace to the self.
Within my Spiritual techniques I use concepts of living in the present moment, stilling the mind , meditation, returning to stillness, and using the mind as a tool not as my identity.
I use Mindfulness , and more in my approach and I keep in mind also the wider philosophical approach of Advaita .
Areas of Counbselling and Psychotherapy
Areas of counselling and psychotherapy I am particularly experienced with:
Maybe you feel life is getting on top of you, or maybe your mind is spinning with unresolved thoughts that repeat endlessly?
Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out, to explore your thoughts and feelings and to get back your peace of mind again?
In my practice as a counsellor, I differentiate between three forms of anger. These are :
Good Anger: It is important to use good anger to uphold the laws you make for your self and your home and other places that are within your jurisdiction. Good anger is designed, through conflict, to uphold your laws and educate those who might break them.
Bad anger : this tends to be knee jerk reactions to things that irritate you and usually are in no way educational. They reflect badly upon you self control.
Rage: is like a volcano, and is fuelled by years of previous injustice , bullying and abuse. Rage will burst out when a new event of injustice occurs when the flood gates of a lifetime collection of hurts explodes into the present moment.
No Waiting and Appointment flexibility
I realise that therapists may often put their clients on a waiting list , but I am available 70 hours per week and so am certain to be able to meet with you within a day or so of your call.
Many of you may need flexibility around the date and time of your weekly meeting and I can arrange this with you to work around shift work patterns, travel and other commitments.

If I can be of help please do get in touch. There is no obligation .

The Region that I cover : Richmond and Warwick
My practice is based in Richmond, within easy reach of Barnes, Mortlake, Kew, Putney, Isleworth, Twickenham, Teddington, Ham and Hammersmith ,all in South West London.
But interestingly I have worked with clients who were living as far away as New Zealand and Spain while several clients lived in Wales and others on the South coast.
So although places like Barnes and Twickenham are indeed local we can still work together either Face to Face or by "Skype" if you were living further afield.
I have also opened a clinic in Warwickshire which has been running since 2015
From this centre I meet with clients as far as Leamington Spa ; Stratford; Warwick; and Banbury. The practice is growing well and I meet at the week end and on Monday
